I know zombies are pretty much walking bags of flesh with no real thought in their head, but do you think if any of us turned we will remember anything we learned here that could compromise the group? Say a meeting location with a hidden entrance.
I do not think that it will be retained, due to the fact that most zombie theories include them basically becoming brain dead feeding machines. Although, as I said before it is a theory. So anything is possibly when the apocalypse happens- we just have to keep our guard up, and if one of us is turned and we become a zombie general, we just have to watch for those super smart zombie leaders, and take them out, without leaders, they would not have our information.
I think at worst, the Undead will retain areas they felt "Safe" in life. Houses especially.
I look at the Undead like Predators that operate on baser instincts only. They know where there home is, but beyond that that it will be kill kill kill.
On Z-Day, the first thing I am going to do is scream like a little girl. Once that's out, I will be ready to function.
Perhaps. I know what you're getting at. I personally think that Undead will have a large brain capacity, that degrades with time but is large like a said initially. So when one first turns, I can believe that they have a fairly high level of memory and recognition. Perhaps high enough that they realize they've turned, and while not wanting to hurt humans initially cannot help it as primal instinct begins to fester.
So in short. Within the first few months, probably. After that, who knows?
