No time for finding "meat snacks". All of the people that I will be with are well trained in survival. I am pretty sure that there will be no problems with fighting a couple hundred. My home of residance is 9 miles outside of a 500 person village in Iowa. there is no reason to not fight to clear the area for cleaner and threat-less looting. Also, The point is not to sit around and wait it out. Take action and clear the area if possable. If not possable, then retreat to a location where it is. If not able to retreat, then hold your ground and stay silent.

Its my normal responce to want to take action. Action is a better responce to take than to sit around and become lazy. Plus, the more survivors you find within the area, the better your chances for reproduction and saving humanity. Think about it.

Don't think you have ever seen a 30 stick cigarette go off then. Let me inform you that it is powerful enough to take out five/ six vehicles. If you don't think thats powerful enough, then go ahead and go with other resources. Personaly, I will go with the destructive power to take on 30 something zeds without a worry.

If you are considering homemade materials, propane tanks aren't effective. It takes too much to explode the tank in such a way as it fragments, and despite what they may show you in hollywood, when shot the Propane tank doesn't 'Explode', the puncture hole releases a pressuredized burst of flame who's radius is not very large. And it takes a large caliber round to puncture the tank, so don't go trying no Shotgun bullcrap as seen in 2004's Dawn of the Dead (Although, I gotta admit, it looked cool).

Matters on if your using the 12 guage slugs. You can drog a quarter sized hole into a tank with that.

As for making it explode- there is too much preasure inside the barrel, and the fact is that the gasses contained are not that unstable. A metal gas can would have a much better success rate. Fill the can to 1/5th with gasoline. From there let it sit in the heat to build preasure (after capping it - silly people). From there, take a tracer round and shoot the can for a nice little charred ground and a 15 foot debris radius. If not tracer rounds are available grab a flare and place it above the cap (then shoot the local area where flame is available)[[[[[[[[HEALTH HAZARD]]]]]]]]. Gasoline flames are much more unstable than propane.

As for homemade explosives... I am not at liberty to tell you all about how to make them, but I am at liberty to say that the idea is not to kill all zombies. The idea is to terminate their mobility. While extermination of them would be wished for, it is not a 100% necesity. Demobilization is the necesity for easy escape and extermination efforts. I would rather have crawlers than walkers/runners.

I'd have to go with a hunting rifle. You don't have to be close to the threat to hit and kill it, unless you have bad aim. A .308 would be my choice, I use it a lot and have a lot of ammo for it. Either that or a .22 long rifle, its not powerful, but it is quiet and the rounds don't weigh that much.

A pretzel with cheese isn't a pretzel with cheese until you add the cheese to the pretzel.

Baseball bat in hand you run toward the horde of zeds, and in true Chuck Norris fasion you crack one right on the head. That is of course right before you get eaten like a real man. So thats why I chose the bat.
