I was just wondering what weapons evreyone owns. From shotguns to baceball bats. i would like to know.

Currently for gun's i have 2 9mm pistols, 2 british .303's, a .357 scoped single shot, and a 16 gage bolt.

Currently for rainged 4 bows, throwing knives, throwing spikes, and shurukens.

Currently for melee (swords, bats, etc,) i have more swords than ill ever need, bats (at least 4), i have an axe, about 5 hammers, a crowbar, a slege, a hatchit, quorter stafe's (sp?), bokens (a wooden katana (3 of them)), and sharp pointy sticks!!!!

Ok ok so i dont have any sharp pointy sticks but i have quite a lot of weapons and quite alot of ammo (not that you have to reload a sword). What do you people have easy access to incase somthing happen?

Will you hold me back? If need be I will leave you behind...

(I am going to be sexist for a moment and assume someone with that many weapons and with a male image for his/her avatar is going to be male)

Dude. You scare me a little.

I have nothing here. I have a sai at home (up north), but here:

(1) My fiancee's large rolling pin
(2) A frying pan that fits my grip nicely
(3) A Chef's knife that also fits my grip well
(4) Heavy-Duty Maglite (for however long that might last)

My wits are my only real weapon here.

All that needs to be said is this: FIRE = BAD

Actual and improvised?

At my house:
Wooden sword.
Chef's knives.
Pitchfork.
Plenty of long-handled garden implements.
Very crappy, very old bow with 3 arrows.

At my parent's house: (I don't actually live there anymore, but I know where all the stuff is.)
2 large Ghurka kukris (real, sharp) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kukri
Cavalry sabre (real, sharp)
2 wooden swords
home made chinese broadsword, unsharpened http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dao_%28sword%29
Kitchen knives
Gardening implements
Long-handled wood axe
Hatchet

...I'm really disappointed that my dad has more swords than I do.

Not very many actually serviceable guns. a replica musket (includes a bayonett), a few scrapped rifle. But melee weapons. That's something else. A huge butcher knife (the blade is about a foot long), a heavy duty hatchet, several shorter survival knifes, a pitchfork, a shovel, an entrenching tool (military surplus) and a few others. I also have a very long leather trench coat in terms of armor.

When in doubt, get a chainsaw.

I'm in the same boat as most here; no ranged weapons to speak of, but some melee: a machete, an axe, some hand knives, a costume sword, and various garden implements. For armor, I've got several leather coats (1 trench, 1 motorcycle, 1 ren faire (probably the best with boiled leather shoulder guards and front pieces)).

Assorted small but servicable knives, a toolkit full of, er, tools, multiple hatchets, an axe, a maul, a lawnmower, many long handled garden implements, some hammers, two levels (original purpose, determine if somethings flat, however, also happens to be a three foot long steel bar), and a pickaxe.

I think that we should expand this to what would you take with you, as weight does become a factor. Lets assume that the zombie invasion got the drop on you, so packing everything into a car and driving to your chosen place isn't an option.

I'd empty the toolkit into a backpack, fill the rest with survival gear (list is on some other post), shove in a hatchet and a level, and carry a spade.

hmm, i'd grab the beretta, the katana, a backpack full of survival stuff, a hatchet, and tuck a flare gun with a single shotgunshell in the back pocket (in case something jumps before i have the time to pull out a bigger weapon)

and if i have the time and the need, a large weapon like the wrecking bar

There are a few others, but they're not as snazzy as any of these.

Damn, I'm seriously underpowered compared to most of you...

No guns, closest thing to a ranged weapon is a razor sharp craftsman's hatchet, metal handle so it's reasonably balanced for throwing. Knives galore, an Indonesian ceremonial recurving sword (picture a Kukri, slightly thinner, much sharper and with a 3 foot blade. I say ceremonial because it's used religiously, it's a combat quality weapon, hand crafted, full tang and heavy blade for easy cleaving.) Machete, full sized (also weighted blade for cleaving), a stage-sharp combat made Katana, same style Wakizashi, not to mention a plethora of axes and hatches of varying sizes, a 20 pound sledge and a half dozen softball and baseball bats.

All of these are readily accessible though which is nice.
