What are your ideas for makeshift weapons? Weapons that probably would work, but would be really cool. I had been searching through my family's basement for anything that might be useful, and came across two old lawnmower blades. They were still in pretty good condition, just not usable for cutting grass anymore. So I had the idea "Hey, one of these attached to a bat would be pretty cool," and tried to start thinking up some others. I also had an idea that involves some rope and the two blades. It's kind of hard to explain, but the basic idea of it is something walks through the tripwire, blades swing around, and there we go. Of course, it probably wouldn't work, but I thought it would've been a nice zombie trap. What about you?

ive already done some of this at my house. took the handle to a broken shovel, sharpened a knife blade on both ends, hammered it down into the shovel handle. then I took some super glue and filled in the area around the blade. then covered it in electrical tape.
also made stuff from two tent stakes, lawnmower blade, screwdrivers, shovel, and not to mention I already had two hatchets, a twelve gauge, and a 22

TIME TO NUT UP OR SHUT UP!!
As far as one use things you could just pick up if a zombie got into your house, pretty much any solid object can do the trick if used right. Chairs: try to hit with the actual seat not the legs for best effect, but putting a chair leg into a zombies eye and applying a good amount of pressure might give you the results you desire. Lamps: hit with the base not the stem or light fixture, pretty straightforward. I wouldn't recommend shower curtain rods because they are much too flimsy but your porcelain toilet cover can do for one solid hit. If you want to create a lasting weapon you have to think about having a solid core (construction, not farming, grade re-bar works pretty well) and adding layers for integrity but without making it weigh a ton. Think more along the lines of a modified wooden baseball bat than cement dipped re-bar. You might say 'why not just use a metal baseball bat?' Well its hollow. Filling it with insulation foam or something else will make it last a few more hits but not too many. Well best of luck to you all! Keep your wits sharp and think about what you could use all the time.
Whoops totally forgot we were going for cool looking here!

How about a re-bar mace? Think about it. Blew your minds didn't I?
Anyway if you can't tell already I am a big fan of re-bar in a deconstructive sense.
