somebody just spat the dummy! lol...I dont think its a crime for newbies to say hello on a post..it would be good to have a section dedicated to newbies...but nevertheless we are all here for the same reason...hopefully.

He isn't flipping out because of the newbie's "Hi Im.." thread. Him and I were supposed to be working on a newbie welcome thread, but I have been busy lately and haven't been able to work on it. From the looks of it he's taken care of it himself, so I guess that's one les thing for me to worry about.

The last I checked, there is no rule barring new members from introducing themselves. You have got to think before you post Soko, your reaction in this forum was less than respectable, and downright ignorant. If you are going to try and look better than someone, the least you could do is spell things right, but, alas, you couldn't even spell "I'm" right, so you have absolutely no right telling anyone anything on this page. Got it?

Now concerning the comments made, I'm sure I would already be offended if I had made this posted this topic. Now I do believe it was posted in the wrong place. I think a newbie thread would only save trouble if it was put in the important section. Otherwise, I have the feeling other posts like this will continue to become topics themselves.
Now Sarge, not to tick off a mod, just stating my feelings here, I understand Soko's frustration, and he probably should have thought a bit more about how this could be seen a certain way but I don't think he should have been blasted for it. Simply saying something about how it was inappropriate and disrespectful to the new poster should have been sufficient enough without another seemingly annoyed post.
