Im wondering if zombies could act as a food source. It seems to me that they are probably like a pufferfish in the fact that most of their body is toxic, but there is a small portion that you are able to eat. What do you guys think?
Well if you are into eating dead people, I would think you would be better off leaving the zombie meat alone. First off, you don't know how long it's been decaying, secondly who knows if the virus effects anything besides the brain and I wouldn't want to go through the process of elimination to find out and third, thats just plan gross!!

Well im saying in a worst case senario. if there was no food or recources left, and we were forced to use "zombies" as food, and fuel. I would hope that have a nice goo core, that can be eaten as well as burned for heat energy.
oh man, i'd have to be pretty despirate to start eat moving corpses, but wait... would you get infected aswell??? you know, zombie virus in their system and all that.

WHY ARE PEOPLE STILL TALKING ABOUT THIS!?!?! This isn't like asking if pufferfish is edible, you eat pufferfish, get paralyzed die, but with zombie, you eat it and you might become a damn zombie!!! It's like standing around in gasoline with a group of others and wondering if you can ignite the gas with a lit cigarette, and so you start throwing lit cigarettes at the gas -- you aren't just endangering yourself, you are endangering everyone else as well.
I am agreeing with Eliot. You eat any part of a zombie you will become infected. The body of the zombie is decomposing and has bacteria. Thats how you turn into a zombie in the first place. The zombie bites you which is full of bacteria. So if you eat decaying flesh with bacteria you'll turn into a zombie. There would be no possible way I would go toward the choice of cannibalism. I would sacrifice myself by going out and looking for food before I would turn to cannibalism.

Bad kikdeadpeople! Very bad! Zombie meat is the worst possible food source you could think to eat (Barring a few exceptions). It's pre-rotten, wants to eat you first, and is virus ridden (Even assuming that the virus isn't passed through the consumption, it wouldn't take long to adapt once it realises where it is). If you want to kill yourself and take others with you without being bitten yourself, eating zombie meat is a good start

That said, though, you'd have to know more about the virus. Is it sensitive to heat? What about other toxins or bacteria in the flesh.
