I voted for the sword, not because I think it is better, cooler, or safer. I don't think I could hit a zombie from 200 yards...unless I had a good scoped rifle.

Two hundred yards away for sure. Not to brag but I already know I'm a crack shot with a C-7 (Canadian Version of the M-16 for all you Yanks) on Semi Auto at 150, and Remington model 788 Bolt Action .222 I can nail the red on a target from 450 yards with my current scope (Leupold CQ/T Rifle Scope. I don't suggest buying it, as it cost me a grand and my friend just bought a 10x scope from Wally World for 150 just works just as well ). But back on point.

Personally, I wouldn't want to get too close to an Undead unless I absolutely had to. Unless it were a Senior Undead or Child Zombie. Then I'd give them what for... Plus there's always the risk that some it's friend were hidden out of view. Or that the sword was one of those S****y repro's you can buy at the Mall that would break the moment it hit anything.

And by that time I'd probably already be out of tears...

Sword, but not because I'm the kind of guy you'd see walking down the street and immediately think "axe-wielding manic" (Ok, so some people would, horribly mean rumour-mongering people at that), but because that's literally my best shot. In England, few people have guns that haven't raided an army base or a police station prior.

I think the point is to be HONEST, considering to even THINK of wilfilly engaging zombies in ANY sort of physical or even ranged combat is ludacris. Unless you are out to sweep and secure an area (in which, by that time, the 'Big Boys" will probably be dead or devoured) If you try to be a hero, and righteously defend an area other than a strategic resorce point, or you're own turf., you deserve to be eaten. Because then, you won't attract any more zombie to the area of other survivors, who are smart enough to hide. Only when the zombies have been decomposed, should you EVER consider attacking them.

Sorry Belhana, no innocent female card for you.... although, you could play the nurse card. Just because zombies are out there, doesn't mean you have to fight them. That's something I never really realized before, but someone skilled in first aid would be just as valuable if not more than a gunfighter. Anyone can shoot a gun but not everyone can perform field operations.

I would rather take my chances using a sniper rifle and shoot a zombie from 200 yards away but let me tell you why. If I still had love ones who were still alive I would want to try to get to them. There could be a chance the human race could get an upper hand in the infection. But lets say I lost my wife and family then I would consider grabbing a sword and going head on with them. That way I would just fight them off until they took me down.

I chose shoot it but that's just because I wouldn't use a sword, now if it was a bat I would pwn that zombie and the zombie's mother.

I choose the sword for a few reasons; Why waste ammo on a threat that is 200 yards away that may not even know ou are there, the excess noise could attract more threats and there are going to be more infected then survivors so you need to pick your battles. In addition there are no free passes after the out break everyone needs to be able to fight when the need calls.
