I have no clue why but I feel we should have a member of the year I have one in mind myself but some members over the past year have grown in leaps and bounds. by means of activity and contributions. but I leave it up to the mebers them self whom do you think has been an outstanding participant this year.

This is definitely an interesting idea...I'll discuss it with the other mods and see what they think. While glorifying a certain member may not be the best thing since after all, we are a community and each one of us contributes, but I do like the idea of rewarding those who have shown themselves to be outstanding members in particular.
I do like the idea, I have seen some of our fellow members really put some real effort into contributing to our website, and I think wholeheartedly that some form of recognition for their hard work and efforts is overdue. I will not be selecting any one person in particular, however, I am willing to discuss potential candidates with my fellow moderators. I say leave it to you the members to compile a list of who you think is the most deserving, and select a representative to turn in your selections. From there, I propose we as moderators select the top ten (or less) depending on who gets voted for, and we compile a poll where you get to vote for your Member of the Year. Maybe, I am not making promises, we could have some sort of block where the member's picture is located where you could click to view the member, and then below that, have a box similar to the Recent Posts box, where you can view the topics that member had made.

yes it would most likely be using a poll
on a second note Mods will be excluded because they already have the highly esteemed title of MOD.
And I only have one or 2 people Nominated so far so PLEASE send in your nominations
and if you think you may be put on the list and would not like to be voted on a PM saying so would be fine to just let me know
I haven't been here long, but next to the mods it seems like sanchez, artie and simpleman have the most posts that are in some way useful.
