Do you already have a list of things that you want to collect that have absolutely no value for survival after the shift?

Short answer to your question Arty, is NO. I carry enough gear just to survive, I'm not thinking that there will be a whole hell of a lot of time to search out an Espresso Machine or working DVD/TV player...

OK, seriously? I mean, maybe not Z-Day day 2 but what about day 500 or 1000. Do you really think you’re going to be still moving around and/or living day to day? I mean, at some point you’re going to have to settle on a place and defend it. Once that happens there’s nothing you can think of that you’ve always wanted but couldn’t afford?

I mean, I guess I can see that, but I think I would go insane if I didn’t have SOMETHING to distract me from being ON all the time.

Let me tell you how I got these scars...

I agree. I call it SEX! If she's semi-willing and concious, I'm there... or is that semi-concious and willing? Hell, either way, count me in.

In a nuclear, viral, or chemical post-apocolyptic world, its the guys with clean underwear that scare the piss out of me!

OK, sex would keep me going for a good year before I’d want to see a movie or read a book. Oh, and I’ve found it takes a nice car and/or a base of operations to hook a girl… at least one your not paying. As far as the pro’s go, though, I wouldn’t want to leave my stuff unattended for that long… and that’s assuming that she doesn’t shive you mid-shag.

All I’m saying, and I’m not trying to flame you, is eventually just getting by isn’t going to be enough.

Awww....and here I had something to add....

Ha, I jest.

NIE, I dig the diamond idea. Adding gold into that might add a nice touch as well.

I fail to see how sex wouldn't belong in this thread, it's not survival related to an individual.

Because you can't collect sex.

True, but you can collect parteners, STD's, stories, injuries, and other moments that make life worth living...

That's what I was thinking, to avoid the horribly crude saying, you collect the "notches in the belt/stick/etc".
