me, being a complet lover of guns i would take the hecklor and clok UMP tactical machine gun, but if i had to chose a bladed weapon, i would chose a katanna

For me, Ive fallen in love with the Zombie Survival Guide, I would pick the crowbar. Good for breaking teh skull and opening doors! My bladed weapon would be the katana also. My blunt weapon would be crowbar. My firearm would be a nice pistol.

I'm not sure a katana would be the best choice. Unless it's a genuine forged blade it will dull quickly when trying to shear through bone, which also takes a whole lot more effort than most people realise. I think the best would be a log-splitter axe.

It's a much less acute wedge than a standard axe, therefore less likely to get lodged in a skull, and it's heavier, giving more penetration. The lighter models would be ideal for zombie neutralisation without being too cumbersome.

For me I have to go with the classic pump action shotgun. It's great for a crowd control situation where there is a lot of things that need killed and only a few seconds to do it in. Also you could use it for a blunt object when you run out of shells.

Let anyone you want in your group, but never....NEVER trust a Bothan. Because The Muppet Show Said So

Hmm...tough question. I think the best weapon will be whatever I have at the present time that could be used to further my present survival. Thinking about the future is great, but it matters little if you do not live till said future.

"Dude," when applied correctly, anything can be a "real" weapon. A weapon is just a force multiplier or a deterrent. It is something to put between you and whatever you are up against. Go read this: Brainpower for Survival. The main purpose of a weapon is to use it to defend yourself and further your own survival.

That said, a good fixed blade knife with a full tang is always great to have along with you. It can serve the purpose of a close quarter combat weapon in a pinch (goodness forbid that you HAVE to get that close, but you never know) and is just a great tool to have with you.

By the way, in the video he sounds more like a comedian than a survivalist. He got one right in the video though, "preparedness is the key."

So I assume you enjoy making people annoyed with you.

Also on subject.
The best weapon is obviously a gundam Laughing out loud

But seriously, look into a rifle or shotgun if your looking to get something for personal defense that can be used for other recreational activities.

Because The Muppet Show Said So.
