| The rules say no religious rants, so let's not have a rant, let's have a calm, mature discussion with proper spelling and grammar. I've noticed a few different religious opinions and so I thought, why not have a debate?
If you decide to post, explain yourself a little. Don't just say, "I'm pagan LOL!" If you really are pagan, explain why. If you have nothing good to post, don't post it.
Let's keep this clean. That means no personal attacks, no insulting other religions, no hitting below the belt, and no stereotyping. If I see any of that I'll start flagging. If this gets too out of hand, I'll zombify it myself and will deal with the offender or offenders personally.
Remember, we're stating opinions here, not facts.
EDIT: Please don't make up a religion on the spot just so you can talk about something. Making one up to mess with people is not only disrespectful to them, but wastes time which could be used talking about something serious. If you have a serious set of your own beliefs, we would love to hear them. Otherwise, keep things legitimate.

woah woah woah.
let's all just be peaceful.
there was a misunderstanding and either way it's okay.
HUH?
"That isn't a clip, clips go in a Garand and it goes PING!"
Well I'm christian, a rare religion among zombie slayers apparently. I think that this is basicly what happened. God, the original original OP put up an interesting post. In it he explained the basic workings of this reality and all the inhabitants. Every once in awhile he comes back to check on what the other immortal beings have posted. I'm fairly confident that Sanchez is the only mortal allowed to write on the wall...

im definitely being peaceful. We are having a simple discussion, but yes, I guess I may have misinterpreted what he was saying.
Hahahaha nice...but if God invented the internet, why wasn't the bible just a website? And would that make Al Gore God?

Because if it was on the internet than someone would hack it.

lol I love it
No one person is immortal, we all die someday and I am sorry that your daughter's time here was so short.
Here's what I think on the subject of the "suffering masses." We, the people on earth, have the ability and resources to feed hungry people across the world. Why doesn't it happen? We allow it to happen. We have the ability to change it and that change comes with some sacrifices most are not willing to make. You speak of the value of treating neighbors as you would yourself, yet say we live in a cruel world. That is your perception and not necessarily the reality of the situation. There are plenty of good deeds and good things that will not make it to the daily news, but everyone knows who went to jail this week or who's on trial. That's the media for you.
My point is, if you want good in life, you have to seek it out and really keep yourself open to the possibility. If you already have the idea set forth in your mind that life is "bad" or "unfair" then it will be because that is the world you perceive for yourself and it effects everything and everyone around you everyday. That's called Psychology 101.

*starts cringing and twitching* ughhhh there's so many facts about a certain religion *cough*catholic*cough* that I could list off that are true but it would DEFINITELY turn this into a cluster-f***. so I'll keep em to myself (pm me if you wanna know but aren't catholic[don't feel like being metaphorically eaten])
my "religion" (and I use that term really lightly) is unique, complicated, and obscure all at the same time. I Believe that some deities (like the catholic god) exist in their followers hearts for emotional and mental support in times of need, others (like the Norse and Greek Gods) exist in a separate realm only because people believe in them. I dont "worship" any deity, I follow the ways of Hecate, the triple-faced goddess. she's from the ancient Greeks and is goddess of childbirth, nurturing the young, gates and walls, doorways, crossroads, magic, lunar lore, torches and dogs. She guides souls to the under world, and is known as the Maiden, Mother, and Crone. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hecate
Souls are like Threads in the Wind. imagine a field with billions of threads shimmering in the sunlight and ebbing and flowing in a warm wind, each thread is a human life, each up and down is a high point or low point in that human's life. It's chaos, you never know when it will go up or down, but its beautiful at the same time. every time two threads touch, thats two people meeting each other and their life paths crossing, and if they entangle and come together, then those two people are meant to be together and will until their deaths. two strands can tangle and then untangle, and thats a failed relationship, and some threads never get tangled. its all up to chance and a little bit of fate. fate is the wind that makes the threads flow, always there, but always unseen. it is my belief that fate is the ultimate form of chaos yet the definition of order. you can never predict or foresee fate, but it never fails to accomplish what it's meant to. once a thread touches the ground, that is the end of a human life. once the thread touches the ground, the soul is released. and depending on certain parameters, you'll either go to the Summerland, or stay on Earth as a spirit(ghosties). Now, the Summerland is just what it sounds like, a place of unrivaled beauty where good souls go when they die to rest before being reincarnated into another life to learn a new lesson. the lesson a soul learns is opposite the one it learned in the most recent life. for example: if you were filthy rich and a snob and gave no help to those in need, in you're next life you will be dirt poor and will get no help to teach you humility. (BTW I believe there are THOUSANDS of different planes of existence, such as the Astral Plane, the Ethereal Plane, The Plane of Death, or the Elemental Planes.) Now for the ghosties. Ghosts are those who can not let go. for what ever reason, be it hatred, malice, anger, love, regret, sadness, or longing, the remain on the physical plane. Half between the Physical Plane and the Plane of Death. Caught in the veil and unable to move on.
These are my views in a highly condensed and shortened form. my extended views are incredibly complex and slightly difficult to explain.
p.s. I believe in magik. not the, "I made a card disappear *card falls out of sleeve*" magic, but ancient world magik.
p.s.s. dont like it, tough. stone me and ill throw bullets at you from a metal tube and they will happen to be propelled by gun powder.
p.s.s.s. dont mean to be defensive, but ive been called all sorts of nasty things for my views.
