I've always wondered if zombie's would ever eat thier lips, tongue, and cheeks in some sort of gnawing "I want to eat that guys face but this meat is in the way" kind of thing. Maybe not eat it but just bite it all off.. Y'know?
Anyways... any thoughts?

I am pretty sure that they would just be concerned with eating. It is also speculated that zeds would not really respond to any type of pain so I am sure that they would have a problem with devouring themselves.
This is pretty retarded question, but if there going to eat there own tongue then surely they'd feast upon there arms and legs. Therefore eating themselves out of existance. Find a place to barricade up for say 2 weeks. Come out and all there will be are zombie heads yapping at you. Football or 'soccer' time anyone?

We would all be very lucky and fortunate if such a thing were to happen. I'd rather spend 2 weeks hiding in my home then trying to find those who survived then living 50 years in fear.
Yea i imagine that they might would turn to cannibalism after time. But either way they are still cannibals. They are still human no matter what way you look at it and they are going to be trying to eat all of us.

But yes they would loose their facial extremities...walking around in the cold ? if they don't produce saliva they'll dry up and the weaker parts of the body; Nose,lips,cheeks,Jawline the skin will crack then rip off...
Odd concept but not at all stupid, i don't think to be honest that eating itself would be high on it's priorities, because I'm sure even zombies remain some self awareness that would make them realise 'hey, thats me!' even if not in a mirror, hm, mirrors... maybe a thought for another day... but i don't think that it would care otherwise if it was to bite through it's lips of cheek a bit...
I don't mean cannibalism. More the idea of accidently eating their tongue and lips. Since they probably have no need to have facial expression and probably wont gnarl their lips back, why wouldn't they? I mean I'm just speculating the idea of it happening as sort of an accident.
The reason I ask is because I'm a comic book artist and I've been working on a more realistic zombie graphic novel type thing. I thought that the idea of them all having the trait of having no lips and tongue to add to the graphic, goryness of it.

I can easily see how attempting to chomp on an arm might make them lose their lips, try biting your arm by just opening your mouth and attempting to bite without moving your lips, hey look at that, but I don't see how they would lose their tongues.
