I'm hoping it's not real. If I had to say real or fake, I'd go with fake. I say it's fake cuz it don't even look like the kid was trying to fight back. =/
I'm going to go with fake. Anything thing filmed I get a hunch is fake, because I don't understand the thought process. If a zombie bit off my finger, I would be more concerned about the fact that I'm about to be a zombie than grabbing my camera and messing with it.

Its a fake. . . look at the date at the beginning of the tape. The date reads: 9/8/07. . .if thats the real date when it happened don't you think we would be seeing reports of it on the news or even in one of our own towns. Its been a year since it happened if thats the real date I think we would have seen proof by now. But thats my opinion about it.

Maybe before you ask a question like "is this real?" you should do your research. Exhibit A: The YOUTUBE channel belonging to the poster of the video link you posted.
