If by Preps you mean the members of this forum, definitely us, because we've looked at just about every angle and are still researching. For most others the threat of a zombie invasion is a silly and nonsensical idea.
If you don't mean Preparedness members, either Militia Men or Paranoid people, probably a mix of the two. Alertness is greatly rewarded against zombies.

I'm sorry, but I have known to many hippies, and as long as they understood what was going on, they could survive fairly independantly for some time of their own resources. Many of them know how to make very successful farms/gardens and are quite self-sufficient.
The key would be getting them to recognize the reality of it all and actually defend themselves.
All that needs to be said is this: FIRE = BAD

yeah, i think hippies would do pretty well for themselves. i think punks would make out alright too; the real ones who aren't posers are tough and crafty.
It is a mistake to fancy that horror is associated inextricably with darkness, silence and solitude.
I'm not sure which group I belong to, most likely paranoid people, but the kids around Pensacola Florida give me a mix between hippy and punk. Category In-between?
I myself think the militia men and paranoid people would do the best as far as long-term survival.

Honestly, you are right. Zombies won't be terribly effective, and, unless a plainload of zombies crashes in the arctic and the eskimos try and rescue them all, betting bitten, they are pretty bloody safe.

I just remembered reading in a RPG forum about a guy planning on making a campaign with an army of penguins, imagine the trouble if the seals and penguins contracted the zombie virus! :shock:
