End of the World is closer than you think!

Just a little thing for all of you to consider.

Whats going to happen in 40 years time when we run out of fuel to power our stations, cars and everything electrical?

CHAOS. people will lose sanity. We will not be able to communicate, governments will cripple, we will be sent back to the stone age. Crime rates will rise by about 300%. So while you all sit at home preparing for the zombies, think about what your going to do when this time comes.

We have yet to build some form of fusion reactor that will give us 'unlimited' energy. So basically the pc your on now, the mobile phone you text your mum with and the batterys for your laser scope wil no longer work (batterys will be ok for a while, just start stocking up now)

Were going to be sent back to the stone age people (obviously alot more civilized and educated)

Just a little thought for your noodle!

Most countries are working on solar and wind energy, germany will be the best off since they essentially buy back the extra electricity from the solar panel over there.

so that will pretty much end this idea.

dont be fickle

you really think solar panels and wind turbines can power an entire country. Dont think so.

So think on your ideas before you act all smart!

You underestimate the power behind the sun and the wind, though we as a country do not have enough turbines to power the entire nation, we have just enough to power small communities. As for the solar panels, those too are limited to just private residences, so if you are looking to fortify something, consider looking to the roof. One other thing, solar panels are not cheap, so stay away from blue collar America, head to a more richer neighborhood.

This is somewhat plausible but to say that people will lose there shit because they have no more electricity is asinine. Was the world in total chaos before electricity or steam power? Something along the lines of historical records make me think yes, in the sense that they were all god fearing morons and no is the sense as there was no anarchy. We are preparing for the inevitable zombie attack because we have some sound proof. But your claims say that it is somewhat pointless for us to be prepared because of other possible world problems. Why have you not mentioned global warming, the lhc or the Christian/Jewish/Muslim beliefs of judgment day?

The worst of all of this, is people worrying about having electricity, it is a luxury, not a necessity, I do not need power to survive, just water and food. I laugh at the younger people here in this country, one I witnessed flipping a light switch repeatedly during a power outage thinking that they could get the last bit of power out to light their home.

Something to think about people. He said fuel. How is food grown, harvested, and delivered? Where does your water come from and how does it get there? If you can answer both questions there is your answer as to why people will "lose their sh*t".

Sorry kemo sabe. Civilization goes stone age because of little/no food/water/energy (surplus of all three is required for advancement) the rules don't change that much (if at all) as far as preparedness goes.

The answer is manual labor to transport food and water, such as beasts of burden which still exist on this planet today.

I am not out to offend anyone, I too am a member of the blue collar society, I cannot afford such luxuries as a wind powered turbine or a solar panel, the only thing that I own that has a solar panel is my calculator. If I did offend, I do apologize.
