I think your looking for something on the lines of a halberd but with a modern look I would suggest a custom job. laser cut steel and a handle of what ever you wish
do you have access to a metal working shop? all you really need is a large piece of 3/16" steel, a band saw with a metal blade and a grinder. two pieces of wood, duct tape and moleskin and you got yourself a gigantor cleaver

No much bigger with a long handle so I can use two hands...
Edit: Think Clouds buster sword with no tip (just a flat edge). Has about 2/3s of the width and not as long... And a longer handle. Naw halberd is way to long. I'm looking for more of a sword then a spear. Ah... Never thought of that...
Agreed. It will conform to your hand and control moisture better, too. No sliding. I also think that pic is a close twin of the cleaver in my kitchen! ;p

I belive for the natural oil content of the skin will help prevent rusting. when use as a seath.
