Slash and puncture proof clothes.

You can buy kevlar lined cargos online for 50 AUD same with shirts etc, and you can buy rolls of kevlar for 20 AUD.

I've lined all my SHTF gear with at least some kevlar and I have kevlar lined police duty gloves which cost me 65 bucks.

Wonder how long till this gets zombified?

Winning isn't a reason to get a reward but one less poke in the eye, while losing gets you two.

I think I might let this one go for a little while just to see if anyone else has objections to this poll. So far, there have been three voters so, it cannot be that bad. Either that or just something about human nature and the need to "know." No, I did not vote on this poll yet. I cannot really decide if I would wear any armor or go with the leather jacket...decisions, decisions.

I went with the motocross stuff. It may provide some measure of bite protection, and it's still light enough for running away.

As for "duck tape," I think it would be too heavy, noisy, and messy. But you'd always have a snack available.

I messed with Texas.

I voted for the motocross stuff as well. It'll protect from scratches and bites fairly well.

The leather and duct tape would probably do that too but the bites would still leave a nasty bruise.

yeah, i'm voting plastic.

lightweight. stops bites & scratches no problem. also protects against blunt/clubbing attacks in case zed knows how to take a swing at you.

plus, if you're wearing plastic-armored kneepads, elbowpads, and gloves you can dive and roll without hurting yourself then bounce right back up and keep going. which is great when you're playing paintball and i'm assuming would help in playing dodge-zed.

I'm not sure what I would vote for, the plastic motocross armor doesn't give much protection to arms, legs and so on because the plastic is only really on the chest and head.

The metal plate would need to be the true warrior's armor with the strong metal and leather joins to have much defense, and then even if it was the full warrior garb it would be way too heavy to move in, I just watched How it's Made the other day and it had suits of armor, in order to put on armor you must put it on from feet and move up because the top is so heavy you wouldnt be able to stand back up which means theres no way in hell you could actually run in it, and then if you get surrounded they could push you and knok you over and you wouldn't be able to get up and then they would either figure out how to get through the armor, find a flaw in the armor where skin is exposed, or you would end up starving to death due to not being able to get up.

Then there's the leather, now with that you better be able to run pretty fast, because there is a good chance they could bite through it, I think someone has mentioned it before on here, because due to the "can't feel pain" theory as far as zeds go, they could probably bite at least twice as hard as the normal non-undead human, because, as said in another post (someone help me out here if you know what one I'm talking about), we feel pain when we bite too hard and so we are forced to stop, but if they don't feel pain they could bite harder and maybe even through the leather.

Do I even need to say anything about going without it?

Now I think the best armor would be a chainmail suit, depending on the size of the links and the quality. Chainmail is light so you could easily run, strong, in case they catch you, and actually cheap when you compare it to platemail or scalemail armor, while at a renaisanse fair last year I found a chainmail body for $75 it wasn't flashy but strong and easy to move in ( I tried it on) and they have clips for them so you could attach leggings and a coif t0 make it one a piece.then they have gloves, boots, and I've seen masks before so you'd be pretty much defended from all angles.

I can add an input. Metal plate is good. if full plate there are few openings. Its strong, ie steel. you cannot bite through it. BUT it takes 2 poeple and 15 minutes to put on. it also weighs 4 stone, 54 pounds and slows you done. It is designed to stop fully powered blade strikes, perhaps taking the design idea, but using modern materials is the idea.

I was thinking the same thing Sticking out tongue

I voted motorcross stuff...Y? because a little bit of vaseline on the plastic areas so biting and scratching becomes a bit of a mish for the zombie!
