post z-day use for pre z-day items

sovietsurvivalist12 Posted: Tue, 07/29/2008 - 00:49

So I recently moved out from my parents house and now live in my own compound, so my alpha plans for z-day are in the process of being changed. What I would like from my fellow zpi site members is to help me think of uses for some items that I have at my compound which wouldnt normally be used for survival but certain tweaks might enable, the list is as follows

-standard five peice drum set(bass drum, snare, two rack toms, floor tom, high hat, crash cymbol, stool and two wooden drum sticks)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drum_kits

-skateboard

-crazy schitzu(like to attack chickens, cows and pitbulls)

-washer and dryer(top loading washer, front loading dryer)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washing_machine
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clothes_dryer

-tv(2003 flat screen but not a thin tv, 19 inch)

-vacuum cleaner(upright, walmart brand, decent about 3 months old)

-microwave(3 years old, no problems with it yet
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microwave_oven

-basic electronics(ps2,nintendo wii, gate way computer, speakers, 20 inch monitor, hp laptop, 15 inch monitor)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Play_Station_2
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_%21%21M

-pressure washer(100 cc,honda)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pressure_washer

-home model deep fat fryer
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_fat_fryer

I also have all the basic types of furniture, couches, beds, tables etc. I only listed the things I thought woul d have decent uses, so please leave any ideas you can think of for the items I have listed, or other common household items,

thanks,
soviet

Your sixteen, moved out of your parents house and now live in your own home or with another person? To me that's just a beyond bad idea.

Because The Muppet Show Said So.

you may be able to use the dum kit to rig a trip wire alarm. washer and dryer can be used to secure the doors.

Basic electronic items could be dismantled and used to rig makeshift security systems or possibly detonators for homemeade explosives, depending on you electronics expertise.

Skate board could be fashioned into a crude bludgeon. Washer and dryer could be used as barricade material.

The crashes & hi-hats can be flipped upside down and used to carry things or, with wire/chain, can be hung from ceilings to hold items. The bass drum, snare, and toms can be used to hold things also. Just take the covering off one side. Drum sticks can be used for last-ditch close-quarters combat, especially against human attackers. Getting hit with drumsticks hurts like a b*tch anywhere on the body, especially in the head (I've experienced it).

The furniture, washer, and dryer can be used to barricade entryways.
