I myself think that there needs to be a way to have access to the chat function and the forums at the same time, because right now we, as far as I know, have to bring up two webpages in order to chat and read the forums, which for some reason doesnt work right on my computer I always get some error message when i try to go to a new forum page with chat in the background. So I propose we have a side-bar for chat, i don't klnow if that would exactly work out but I just wanted to suggest that. Maybe have the page broken up into two or three part, one for forums, one for chat, and one for list of players on or something like that.
I dont know if it's very practical but I believe it's worth suggesting

This is not a good idea. As I have stated before with Nick47, this would make all of the web pages slower and it would destroy the very essence of having a fast chat room pace while at the same time being able to moderate who is on it and who is not. I have seen websites with the so-called sidebar chat pages, and they also look horrible. I would rather you check out the website forums then after you are done go to the chat room for some talk.

i believe these sorts of webpages only work on sites where u spend a lot of time on one page, something such as a page with a long video on it, as you dont want to have to switch and miss parts of the movie or be constantly pausing it to see what people are saying, and you dont want to miss the convo either... not forums where your constantly scrolling about and switching pages, it would make things slower.
Exactly. Plus, the mirror issues and moderation of such chat rooms are difficult. Every time you change a window, you will log out and then log back in. How cool is that for people who want to take a break from the forums and have nothing but scrolling "so-and-so logged out/ in"?
I personally prefer just opening the chat in one tab while surfing in the others. I do not think it's that hard, but I guess several people find it hard to multi task.
