Anybody else read the new Zombie Survival: Notes book that came out this last week? It is a place to write down tactics, the plan for when the outbreak hits, and keep track of possible zombie incidents. I know I have mine!
What do you guys think about it? What are you going to take notes on in there?
journal and spencil? You don't really need anything fantastic to keep track of life, and i don't want to fund that menace anymore then absolutely necessary heh.
zombie love bites, you have to be careful bringing up max brooks here. He is a polarizing figure for most of the hardcore folks. Don't take any of the posts on this thread personally.
As long as I have nothing, you can never take what's mine.

Excellent point, scratch.
Max Brooks is like Mel Brooks only with zombies. Mel Brooks cracks jokes about EVERYONE, and if you take things too seriously, you will HATE HIM. Max is much the same with zombies, he makes light of something that some people take very seriously and it annoys them.
Point simply being that if you make a fanboy post about Max, you will get flamed.
well i read the book, and i own it and to tell you the truth he is more serious about it then i am. if you go on youtube youll see him givespeaches to crowds of people who laugh at him but he maintains a straight face. he even expresses dissappointment that his book is listed in the humor section.
people have any right they could want (at least in america) and you can hate or love him if you want.
I have yet to read ether of his books so I have yet o pass judgment on him but from what ive heard from my fellow ZPI members he is not all he is cracked up to be
Will you hold me back? If need be I will leave you behind...

I think that poor old Max has gotten a bad name because of fanboy posts.
I've read the "survival manual," and took it for it was... humor.
Then I read "World War Z." I have to say I found it engrossing. Since it is his version of a fictional creature, I thought he did a darn good job playing out a world-wide event. Some scenarios of course were unlikely. But all of this is.
If/when the movie gets made, I'd bet that even the crankiest Max critic will begrudgingly trudge down to the movie theater and buy a ticket.

no yeah, your right, whatever freedom of opinion. im just saying you guys have gotten the wrong idea and expect it to fail which isnt right. it may be in humor but humor it is not. if anyone would take this i thought it would be the people on this site. i guess not.

I may go get it just to see if he's said anything funny or beyond stupid for a laugh.
Because The Muppet Show Said So.

All that needs to be said is this: FIRE = BAD

If you would like to speak with someone who has a pure seething hatred for Max Brook's Zombie Survival Guide, speak to NIE.
Not all of Brook's ideas were/are bad, just a good percentage of what he describes in the book as good advice is more likely to get you killed.
