If you don't know what a ripstick is google before you read. I think that ripsticks would be perfect for combat in urban landscapes. They're not to fast the zombies lose you ,but not to slow you are lunchmeat. When you are they don't mess up your aim or swing(like the swing of your Katana). You can pick them up for on the go if your road is blocked. But do not use for on the run or in rural areas. They should only be used for attack or a scout\bait in urban landscape. I think that they could be the next big thing for zombie fighters. Please comment on what you think about ripsticks. As for your question- I am sorry friend, but the rip stick is not fast at all. The entire use of a Ripstick is something I will not suggest use of.
The entire method for the use of said instrument is to swivel the back rubber tire to accelerate you forward, though you have to keep balance on your front tire that directs where you are going. I agree with Dragisoni, please do not swear, it is unnecessary.
Now as for the Ripstick, two points. One, if you are using it to get away from a zed crowd, you are going to have to worry about getting tangled in debris. Bad idea.
Two, if you are actually thinking about using it as a way to move and attack, think of this. If you are using your balance and try and hit something, you will affect your balance and momentum greatly-you will slow down or stop. A very bad idea, sorry.

same with bycicles and running but ripsticks you can easily pick it up. Also if your good with a gun or if you slice clean with a katana balance is no prob.

I have to agree with the rest. I think that a bike will be better because you'll have much better control on different terrain and in different conditions. Roller blades would be a toss-up, on one hand, you will probably have more stability on roller blades, but you can change from foot to wheels quickly with the ripstick.
Regardless, it's not a good option. The war against the undead will be won not by speed but by endurance and adaptability.

If I had a choice between a rip-stick and a skateboard, I would choose the skateboard. If the choice was between a rip-stick, a skateboard, and a bike, I would choose the bike. I have ridden a rip-stick before and I have to say that I don't like it. I also believe that by the very design of the rip-stick that one would only be able to go so fast. Also, four wheel are going to be better than two if it comes to a speed contest between a rip-stick and a skateboard because of the skateboards more sturdy design. I could use a skateboard as a bludgeon whereas I would not try to do so with a rip-stick (6 sheets of wood maple vs. plastic). Rip-sticks are not made to withstand impact whereas bicycles and skateboards are. I can go on, but I think the differences in the pros and cons are clear enough. Personally, I am looking for a bike first. I have ridden a skateboard before, but would much prefer a bike as it would tire me far less quickly.

B.) If you are going to post a topic about a specfic item or object, post a link about what your talking about. It just makes things simpler cause i know if told i have to look something up just to read the post i won't read it and move on.
