Just like to share a few pictures of the devasting Kernel Genocide that has been waged upon my corn by a storm from a couple days ago....

If you're wondering what the orange string is for it's part of my little experiment. Since a lot of people are planning on starting gardens in places with little space I decided to give it a little go. 20'(something)x13' is the amount of space I wanted to work with. Every suburban backyard should have at least this much space...
So far things (except for the corn) are looking pretty good (although a bit crowded). Think the death of the corn had to do with planting to many so close together.
Luckily I've planted a bit more to cover my losses due to the storm. Going to be really late getting it though.

I'm sure you can notice the random recycled bucket and flowers hanging up. I've got a softspot for the latter. Deal with it....

Update....
Squash and cucumbers are dying out now. Time to pull them up and start over again.
Have two little cantalope growing.
Beans are looking very good.
Habeneros are looking good.
Remaining corn now has ears. Can't talk around it though. Gossiping little bastards...
More chili peppers than I know what to do with. Scratch that. Know what to do with them. Dry'em and cook them in rice with chicken/sausage.
