FGB4: Guns of The YooKay

For some reason there are a lot of comments from our members in the UK claiming firearms are banned and constantly use that to justify melee weapons being the best weapon available. Whenever I read said comments I always sneeze due to The Mighty Sanchez being allergic to bullsh*t. So instead of doing that all the time I put this together.

All of the following can be owned with a firearm certificate.

I do love a .45-70... Did you know they make lever-action rifles using that cartridge?

So basically what you soon-to-be-former citizens of the UK have to work with are shotguns (cannot hold more than three shells), bolt-action rifles, break-action rifles, semi-auto .22s, slide-action (or pump) .22s, lever-action rifles, and black powder firearms. Shotguns are covered under a shotgun license and everything else requires a firearm license. Shotgun license will be easier to obtain since you won't have to provide a reason (hunting/pest control and target shooting are the only acceptable ones). For the gun, shell carrier[s], license, ammunition, and gun safe it'll probably run you £400-£500. Of course you might be able to squeeze in a cheap single-shot gun into that budget. Rifles will be a bit harder to obtain since you have to provide a reason for getting a license and the amount of ammunition you can have may be limited. However I don't know how a couple hundred rounds ended up in a piece of PVC pipe that was buried in the garden...

If one is interested I could gladly put you in contact with someone who can walk you through the licensing procedures and/or help you find a "shooting club", "gun range", or whatever they call it over there. Just don't mention anything about zombies please. Sticking out tongue
