I know that we've talked about alternative energy many times on this site, but it seems to be scattered all over the place, and so I wanted to make a place where we can dropdown some interesting links about alternative energy.
The main reason I make this post is simply on the heels of this article:

Apparently, some Japanese company has created a generator that runs on water. Just water. No other input. This is big. But the generator is expensive, running 18k for just the generator alone (though they suggest it might be able to be $5k if manufacturing is set up), which is only powerful enough to power a small car.
