Did a search but couldn't find a post. Carrying water, I have just obtained a Camelpac Rogue to MTB. includes pouches, snug fit and has pouches. Any thoughts, is it better then a canteen.
in my humble opinion yes and no
the camelbak is a wonderful thing to have, ease of use, lots of water readily accessible but i would always keep the canteen available, i personally keep both, the camel for me, and the canteen for other things and in case the camel got ruined which it most likely will at some point

depends on the type you got. ive used them for years i like the small backpack type with the molle attachments so you can add more pouches. but it is always good to have the standard military issue 1 qt canteen with the canteen cup for cooking and heating up the water.
