Body Language to look for...

Ritualized Combat.
This article is about dealing with "Goblins." It has some excellent advice in terms of body language to watch out for (may save your life).

One real of thumb when dealing with potentially harmful people, the calmer they are the more dangerous they are.

If you think someone's de-escalated from violence there is a huge chance that their calm demeanor is a result of the fact that they've consciously accepted a violent path. I suggest Guns and Ammo magazine for a lot of helpful cop advice.

That's where your bullshit detector comes into play. Think I might look around for a bit more information. Also there is another publication besides G&A that should help since it's written mostly for police.

interesting, i never noticed this topic, i don't know exactly what he meant be calm=dangerous but on a scale of volatility the calm person, when pushed to the breaking point is something to fear greatly
voice of experience i'm pretty calm and have yet to have any altercation with the law other than a simple speed violation, or anything while in school, but a few events lead up to my snapping and choke slamming someone, and in the Post-Apocalyptic future when i have a gun or a knife in my hand, i don't know exactly what would happen

Excellent post, I have seen these signs many times, and it actually made me recall a time or two that I did it. (I did not realize about the "Change of stance, their body blades and shoulder drops" but the last time I was about to get in a fight, and the guy backed down, it was immediatly after I did this, it felt natural at the time, and shocked me that he stopped immediatly after doing this)

I enjoy body language and psychology, this coincides with alot of what I have read, but is a better list
the book "How to get anyone to do anything, and never feel powerless again" touches on similar signs, and how to manipulate peoples psyche, I definatly reccomend the read

After the twist, you'll feel a snap and the body goes ragdoll on you.
