The Zombie Preparedness Initiative is coming up on one year of existence. It started off as a simple discussion amongst friends at a dinner table in college after watching Shaun of the Dead with the simple question "What would we do if there were zombies?" After about a week of discussion, plans progressed into something much more real and tangible where we began making plans to share our thoughts with others. In March of 2005, the Zombie Preparedness Initiative site was put up and opened to the public, though by no means as you see it today. Since then, we have had many hundreds of visitors, over two thousand posts, nearly a dozen trolls, two credit card offers and even a couple site crashes.
Thank you all for being part of the site. I assure you, I will continue to work to put up various things to make the site better. I will also be adding more documents to the main site and hope to see even more from you all.
This year will be the second year the Zombie Preparedness Initiative will be represented at the CONvergence con here in Minnesota, in fact, they will have a room (I believe they are sharing a room with other undead related folks.) Hope to see some of you there!

They are always around. I see them often and occasionally get into a conversation about the site and zombies with them. They're the one's organizing it all.
