So, its been a while since I was last on, sorry if anyone has been trying to contact me, but I forgot the site's URL. But it occured to me that we need to found Local Rendevous Points and safe areas in our communities. These can provide aid for each other in any circumstances, so please, let us have serious thought as to regional HQ sites please.

Ugh, it always changes, in the medieval times it would have been "Aye Wallace get yer longsword, tha nightwalkers are comin". In the older days, it would have changed to "Jimmy get ya blunderbuss, I just saw my dead parents eat my brother". Now its different, people are aware, and it sounds more like: "Its Z-day, get your automatics and ammunition and lets GO!". Instead of the usual stupidity on where to go during Z-day that always ends up being a cellar, I think we should take a better look at where to go during such an event.

what is everyones opinion on this. I think that underground would feel safer to me....but you would have a heck of a time getting supplies compared to someone high up could get air dropped stuff or possibly grow a garden. what does everyone else think

I need to know everyone's uses. any special skills? if u plan on stickin with my people after z-day it is important that u answer this question. more and more outbreaks are popping up. my unit is down to two, so there is no more stopping outbreaks for me. time to find a secluded base of operations and dig in. the flood gates are about to break. please stay on topic for this thread. this is very important.

In a small town called West Union, WV there is a high-school almost 70 years old. It has thick concrete and cinderblock walls and is equipped with almost 50 rooms, security doors, a basement, roof access, and a cafeteria that could easily be converted to a dormitory. There are security gaps though: It is close to a few other houses, which may provide hiding places for zombies and/or raiders, and there are easily accessible windows.
The gym is in a seperate building, even more defendable than the shool.

Ok I have noticed that this sight has alot of wepons that u can get ur hands but wat about dream wepons wich mabey found on lets say an army testing ground. so I would like to know what evryone would like if they could have any wepon they want.
I personally would like to go rambo style and kill all those undead loser with either a survilal knife or some sort of katana.

Latley I have been thinking about using things around the home as weapons, because lets face it you cant have a p90 around the home,
a Hand axe would make a good weapon, but lets face it you need a long range hand weapon anyone got any ideas.

So picture this:
Youre walking around in this zombie-infested, post-apocalyptic world and all that separates you is a road. Luckily for you, the zombies are in the sides, near some woods. so you trail your way up to the "safe-room" and you spot a zombie right in the middle of your only path. All you have is a pistol, so without thinking you fire a shot against the zombie, killing it but making a loud sound alerting all the zombies in the vicinity, they come rushing and kill you.

wasup every one I know some of u think im making stuff up about my friends and some of the things he has. so im not trying to advertise but if anyone is interested he sells these things like guns, tanks, old army jeeps, I think hum vees, and he has a half track. most of the jeeps come in a kit so u have to put them together. he has a few fully automatic 50 cals. im not for sure but I think it comes from the national guard its the stuff they dont use anymore. so if ur interested or just want to check up on me let me know.

I know this is not somethig dealing with zombies but I would like to have your advice I hope not to affend anyone by doing this but I at a loss I can handle most anything life has to through at me ive had cancer in my kidneys and beat it my mom left when I was 8 months my dad was bi-polar and beat me most of my life one time he left me in a grave yard all nite when I 7 years old held me under scalding hot water and a lot of other things dont want pitty just want u to under stand where im coming from needless to say I have a hard time showing affection my kids know I love them and I swore I wo

but yeah I'm watching the 28 ___ later movies and I was thinking (there's going to be several questions in this post)could zombies swim?if yes how well?or can they just walk on the bottom?if by some chance the infection is contained to O... lets say the entire south western seaboard. Look guys, fire arms arentreally available to the public so I guess, melle weapons such as knives and spears are really the best choice to the public.
My actual suggestion is a simple long pipe, sturdy but lightweight and that measures about 3/4 your total height. Get the longest and strongest knife you`ve got and tape it to the end of the pole, you can use it to hack, slash and stab, its pretty efective and durable and parts are easily available.
I would like if you guys could post your suggestions abour close range weapons.

For the first few days or weeks, life in an overrun zombie apocalypse will be grim.
Needless to say, some sort of alternative to conventional travel will have to be instituted, or goods, equipment, and survivors will remain unable to mount anything but a static defense, which we all know is only able to sustain itself for so long.
Recently, I came across a few ads on my local Craigslist, and there were steamrollers and asphalt packers for less than twenty grand apiece.

I'm here in Vancouver, Washington, right across the river from Portland, Oregon. If there are any of you out there that think you might be close enough for a post-apocalyptic rendezvous, I am more than willing to keep in contact with you. I'm looking for a group of 3-7 people. Sure, your middle-class home in the suburbs will hold off the undead for as long as the souls inside are determined and armed...but the house is still flammable, and windows still breakable, and the doors are still smashable.
Yeah, your average middle-school is made of bricks and reinforced safety glass, and seems impenetrable. That's still a lot of floor space to guard, not to mention the journey there...
Basements are good, stable, solid places to hide. But then again, the only way to get into a basement would be through your house, which may already be compromised.
